The writer first researched Western models of marriage enrichment and gathered materials which were presented to an indigenous pilot group. This group tested and further developed materials which are culturally sensitive and suitable for use in Fiji.  The results of pre- and post-program evaluation instruments, administered to two marital and two control groups, indicated that the program positively affected the marriages of the participants. The project also explores the role of communication in ministry to those in grief. Research for the project included the exploration of relevant literature, the pastoral experience of the author, and analysis of crises encountered during training events. Integration of treatment modalities for both the abused and abuser are stressed including individual, group, and couples approaches as determined to be appropriate for each marital dyad.  Using case study methodology, the continuum of violence as an expression of anger/frustration versus violence as an instrument of control are examined. This project was designed to improve the relationship between parents and teenagers by improving their communication skills.  It was a six-week course and used a praxis approach to learning. Parents and teenagers participated together in the class. Based upon pretest and posttest scores, adults in this project achieved a greater degree of improvement in communication skills than the teenagers.  Both adults and teenagers realized an improvement in parent/teen relationships as a result of participating in this
