The hypothesis was that through the Sunday school program, families could be better equipped to do faith development in the home. New curriculum choices, teacher training and parent resources were introduced to accomplish this goal. Pre- and post-testing of the parents in the church showed that the research project did provide the parents the resources needed to continue the Sunday school lessons at home. Christ has commanded us to be 'learners' in a community of discipleship.  Direct and indirect surveys and case studies indicate that ALMA marriage encounter is effective.  Effective evangelism through receptor-oriented, relational, incarnational witness is a process. The method of research was a qualitative research. In 2005, six interviews were conducted, each with a staff person responsible for family ministry in a large evangelical church. Implementation of family ministries varied due to the churches makeup and vision. All staff persons mentioned their focus is on preventing family problems rather than solving them through counseling.
