The Korean church needs new pastoral care and methods for elderly parishioners. The author insisted that the serious problems of aging must be solved in a family. For the project he selected six families whose grown-up children lived away from parents. Participants took some educational programs and the author sent pictures and video clips of them to their children by email. The goal was to utilize information discovered through research about family worship disciplines as it relates to married couples with children to develop a curriculum to equip participants to initiate family worship disciplines. The selected group of married couples received workshop materials, instruction on practicing family worship disciplines, sample curriculum to teach at home, as well as demonstration of families practicing family worship disciplines. The training occurred in five sessions over the course of several weeks. The double paycheck couples' problems became barriers not only for the couples' relations but also for their child-rearing and faith journey. I endeavored to solve the couples' conflicts and problems by applying the concepts and techniques of the Imago Couples' therapy based on my survey of the biblical understanding and traditional Korean concept of couples' relation as companionship. The author asked how to help in recovering intimacy among elderly couples through a sexuality-centered education program.  With nine couples aged sixty-five years or older, the seminar was conducted over three days of intensive retreat. All the participants' responses were very positive and productive. The author facilitated three six-week support groups in three different congregations, working with family members -- whether child, parent, spouse, or sibling -- who love someone with mental illness. The outcome of the group that went the entire six weeks supported the literature that peer-run support groups are an effective means of intervention. A twelve-week study of 189 couples from Park Community Church in Chicago, Illinois, comparing three groups: a self-directed group, consisting of 63 couples who did Couple Checkup on their own; a discussion group, consisting of 63 couples who did Couple Checkup and discussed with a small group; and a control group that did not do Couple Checkup. Paired t-tests were performed, comparing pretest to posttest ratings on the ENRICH COUPLE scale. Suicide is a major problem confronting every branch of the military. This study focuses on Airmen in the enlisted rank of E-4 to E-5. These Airmen are entering the ranks of the non-commissioned officer corps. Each participant was presented with a survey immediately before and after the safeTALK class to measure its effectiveness in making them more alert to the possibility of suicide, their confidence to ask directly about suicide, and connect those at risk with a keep safe connection. Sixty days after the class, another survey was sent by e-mail to examine the participant's retention of lessons learned in safeTALK and their willingness and ability to implement the steps for a successful intervention. Those who identified themselves as having personally experienced suicide through the attempted suicide or death of a loved one were asked to sit down for an interview with the author. Lessons learned from those who agreed to be interviewed were used to examine how their personal experience affected their motivation to help a person at risk and gauge safeTALK's effectiveness. Using a 5 level-Likert scale questionnaire, the toolkit was evaluated by clergy, pastoral counselors, and lay church members. The toolkit was evaluated for potential usefulness, current helping models of practice, comprehensiveness, conciseness, accessibility, and potential for favorable outcomes. Quantitative data was analyzed using predictive analytics software and qualitative questionnaire data analyzed using a conceptually clustered matrix.
