When in reality the sharing is taking place in the everyday world amongst the chaos of a routine day.  What we think may be chaos is in reality engaging with the community to carry out the work of the Holy Spirit. The report explores the conversations of twelve parents with children ages two to eighteen.  Using observation and parents themselves as co-researchers to explore how they share and teach spirituality with their children. It comprises assessing the family's relationship and their ability to support the inmate prior to their release from prison and reduce ex-offender recidivism. The researcher employed a six-week intervention model to assess the family's preparation. It highlighted challenges that families experienced in supporting ex-offenders and identified potential barriers. A qualitative research methodology was used to gather data from 37 respondents using interviews and questionnaires. The hypothesis was that through the Sunday school program, families could be better equipped to do faith development in the home. New curriculum choices, teacher training and parent resources were introduced to accomplish this goal. Pre- and post-testing of the parents in the church showed that the research project did provide the parents the resources needed to continue the Sunday school lessons at home. Qualitative research was employed to test the model's effectiveness, by means of pre- and posttest, questionnaires, and interviews. Implementation occurred during a nine-week worship series that connected biblical stories with life stories and prepared parents to expand upon those connections at home while helping their children add pictures and information to scrapbooks. The overall project proved unsuccessful due to sporadic worship attendance and lack of parental follow-up at home. It was based on pastoral visits with five families of the chronically ill and the illness of the author's husband. The hypothesis was that the chronically ill and their families face unique challenges and needs for pastoral care not observed in acute or terminal illness due to the 'ongoingness' of the chronic disease or injury. A Family Systems approach and theological reflection were used to analyze the experiences. The hypothesis was proven correct. This was accomplished by developing an integrated discipleship strategy for young people, parents, and senior citizens to collaborate on biblical mandates and other resources to transform all of their lives spiritually. Resources included literary research, youth minister interviews, and two decades of youth ministry experience.
