In addition to the results of a needs assessment, the Old and the New Testaments provided guidance for establishing mentoring relationships. The project includes comprehensive guidance on (1) developing a quality mentoring program; (2) recruiting, training and supporting older male mentors, and (3) evaluating the results. This project is a cooperative model in which both the mentor and the mentee are obligated to one another and each is responsible to God. It intends to identify the problem by means of quantitative and qualitative research.  When implications of the sociological as well as the religious perspectives were used to establish an interpersonal relationship and discover male perspective of the church, the following issues were raised: (a) Denominational conflicts (b)Irrelevant programmes (c) Uncaring members (d) Church attendance not necessary.
