Christian men are not immune from the pressure of their own sexuality and in a highly sexualized world they need discipleship to restore and fortify their moral and spiritual integrity. The thesis explores the nature and treatment of sexual addiction and documents the creation of a ten-session program designed to assist adult men understand their own sexuality and learn to achieve self control. The purpose of the research was to demonstrate a correlation between small-group discipleship and the development of new male leadership in an aging church.  The researcher formed a group of seven men who met for nine weeks to learn discipleship principles.  The researcher administered measurement instruments for both Christian growth and change in attitude toward assuming leadership in the church at the beginning and conclusion of the intervention. The purpose of this project, Men in Christ, is to present a model of discipleship training, using small groups, that will equip male members of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church to live as growing, maturing disciples of Jesus. The paradigm of the model was an integrated approach that emphasized process and transformation discipleship.  I interviewed individual participants, designed a curriculum that mirrored the issues presented in Wardle's book Outrageous love transforming power (2003), directed small group meetings, and administered a follow-up questionnaire.
