The report began with a survey of psychological, sociological, and theological insights into male depression.  The support group consisted of eight weekly sessions with homework assignments drawn from CR material, Hart's book, and daily devotionals. The key conclusion of the project was that depressed Christian men can be aided significantly through an integrated, Bible-based support group. Using a survey and a control group, the study looked for lasting impact thirty-two to fifty-five months following the training. Findings indicated overall impact was lacking. The research focused on ten weeks of didactics, experiential learning, and practical applications of the spiritual disciplines utilizaing the Self-Image and Spiritual Disciplines Curriculum. The results of the study prominently indicated that all of the project goals were acheived. Each year, it has twenty big teaching group meetings and twenty small group meetings.  Two evaluation tools are used.  Pretest and posttest surveys evaluate its effectiveness to equip Christlike servant-leaders according to both the participants and the wives.  Men's ministry group meeting survey evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of all meetings. Christian men are not immune from the pressure of their own sexuality and in a highly sexualized world they need discipleship to restore and fortify their moral and spiritual integrity. The thesis explores the nature and treatment of sexual addiction and documents the creation of a ten-session program designed to assist adult men understand their own sexuality and learn to achieve self control. The purpose of the research was to demonstrate a correlation between small-group discipleship and the development of new male leadership in an aging church.  The researcher formed a group of seven men who met for nine weeks to learn discipleship principles.  The researcher administered measurement instruments for both Christian growth and change in attitude toward assuming leadership in the church at the beginning and conclusion of the intervention. PTM is a multiracial, nondenominational men's ministry.  Fifteen Patus participated in the project (three groups of five) and two retreats in Portland, Oregon which were held three weeks apart. Instruments used were pre/post identity, relationship and satisfactions surveys.
