Notable congregations almost without exception rank themselves higher in the ministry functions of the guidelines. Part II describes research conducted by means of convenience sampling using a 103-item questionnaire among 451 active Protestants and Roman Catholics fifty-five years of age and older in a midwestern community.  Factor analysis determined five dimensions of religiosity named orthodoxy, personal faith, treatment, satisfaction with life, and dissatisfaction with life. Comparison and correlation of factors and items found a positive attitude about life and more so about congregations.  Men want to feel more useful to their congregations. It was based on research gathered from the fields of Christian ethics, gerontology, decision-making, and interviews with those working through these decisions.  Pre- and post-assessments measured participants' cognitive learnings. The five workshops dealt with group decision-making dynamics and alternatives, issues facing the aged, and options for care.  Objectives were to contribute material beneficial to the participants.  Goals were to educate participants on the issues of the aging, care options, and a process of ethical decision-making.
