It stems from generations of Confucianism infusing culture and idolizing this image as mature and dignified for aging adults.  With the expansion of human life span where four generation families are no longer a novelty, there could soon be families with more people expecting to be served than available hands to serve. This author developed a six week program to assist in encouraging clergy and their parishioners in broaching this very important topic.  The author utilized narrative, pastoral, and relational theologies to support her research. Also the use of qualitative research was utilized in the form of personal interviews, focus group participation, observation, and the building of a sand tray that depicted the image of afterlife.  This author found that an inadequate response by clergy was founded.  Participants expressed very little education from the church on this topic. Using the action research approach, this project conducted worship services, training, outreach activities, and regular reviews to mobilize senior Christians to serve in the local church over a period of seven months. The outcomes obtained through feedback showed that the participants have enjoyed personal growth, been revitalized, and re-engaged in serving in the church and outreach activities.
