This small three-year-old church plant has seen incredible growth, approaching six hundred active worshippers coming from the entire Northwest Arkansas region. Located in a region with large university institutions, Crosspointe wanted to develop a practical and sustainable collegiate ministry to reach college-age students for Christ. This ministry project is divided into four main sections. The first section details the current spiritual crisis on America's university campuses. Through direct demographic data, this project also demonstrates that same spiritual crisis exists in Northwest Arkansas. The second section examines the effective academic process of strategic planning for organizations. The third section explores current collegiate ministry strategies which are effectively reaching college students in local church settings. The section also provides a detailed review of applicable texts which relate to crating age-group ministry strategies. From this research, unique features related to this project director preached a series of sermons utilizing this preaching method, demonstrating increased knowledge and skill development in preaching. The project director identified and enlisted student members who have displayed an affinity for leadership and who were members of DLBC to participate in training to lead a small group Bible study. The training focused on equipping students, who are given a lesson plan, to lead a group of their peers in studying Scriptures at an age-appropriate level of competence. Evaluation of the project director's growth and the effectiveness of the training occurred at the conclusion of the training event. Despite being in the middle of a college campus for over one hundred years, there is no organized ministry between Banner Elk Presbyterian Church and the students of Lees-McRae College.  Through a survey and conversations with students regarding their spiritual needs, Banner Elk Presbyterian Church set out to redefine its presence on the campus Lees-McRae College.
