Three racial models were researched: dominant-cultured, multicultural and the culturally-contextualized model. Two surveys were conducted: a nation student survey and a campus ministry survey. Biblical, sociological and survey research supported the thesis that a Black culturally-contextualized model is most effective which affirming that all three models are biblically acceptable. Two major factors that increased Black involvement were Black leadership and intentionally to be culturally relevant. The context for this project was at Martin Luther King Junior Senior High School, Detroit, Michigan. The focus was on grade point averages, scholastics, attendance, conduct, and faith enrichment. The results indicated a decline in the male students GPA, while scholastics, attendance, conduct, and faith enrichment made a slight increase. This study describes the reactions of Christian students from Trinity University to the faith and practice of those whom they meet while studying abroad. After reviewing an alternative model of Christian missionary, the critical distinction between missions and missio Dei, and cross-cultural diffusion of Christianity, themes drawn from interviews with students are presented, as well as student perceptions of the impact of studying abroad on their faith. This small three-year-old church plant has seen incredible growth, approaching six hundred active worshippers coming from the entire Northwest Arkansas region. Located in a region with large university institutions, Crosspointe wanted to develop a practical and sustainable collegiate ministry to reach college-age students for Christ. This ministry project is divided into four main sections. The first section details the current spiritual crisis on America's university campuses. Through direct demographic data, this project also demonstrates that same spiritual crisis exists in Northwest Arkansas. The second section examines the effective academic process of strategic planning for organizations. The third section explores current collegiate ministry strategies which are effectively reaching college students in local church settings. The section also provides a detailed review of applicable texts which relate to crating age-group ministry strategies. He examined biblical texts and early church writings to illustrate hospitality as an experience of grace. The author then raised questions regarding the appropriate personal and social responses to that grace. Because of his Katrina experience, both people and pastor re-learned that hospitality was a necessary practice in the faith community.
