Drawing upon the theological and historical Lord's Supper/Communion interpretation and New Testament doctrine of 'the priesthood of believers' and Baptist doctrine of 'local church autonomy,' the author develops a successful ongoing lay homebound communion ministry which effectively promotes intergenerational congregational understanding and interaction.  Training in pastoral care and homebound communion ministry are developed, described and evaluated.
