This project describes the process used to compile a handbook for local church pastors with specific focus on white 'Old Yankee' Protestant women over the age of seventy-five. Methodology included a survey of AAPC training centers and ten process-oriented sessions based on representative feminist theorists.  The central learning activity was genogram groups in which participants' shared family of origin experiences of women's issues. Gilligan's research pointed out that normative theories of development matured through their relationships.  This project thesis develops a perspective on relationship drawn from theories in the fields of psychology, theology, and faith development.  Research data consisted of twelve interviews with women who were asked to describe themselves, their relationships, and their faith. The scriptural concept of the imago dei is examined, and the psychological and circumstantial rationale for ministry is established through research in domestic violence, depression, stress, and through experience in non-residential urban mission activities. The response is a proposal for the Schenectady City Mission to establish a habilitative residential program for four-six mothers with children. This project describes programs offered at The Woman's Center of First United Methodist Church, Richardson, Texas.  The programs include methods of self exploration and sharing that enable women to feel affirmed, accepted and connected to themselves, each other and God. Reflection reveals that techniques and ideas influenced by Jungian psychology, a participatory leadership style, and a warm homelike environment cooperatively enable transformation. The hypothesis was that through personal interviews with and a group meeting of professionals a common concern could be expressed and channeled into action to educate the wider community, prevent further abuse and violence, and support victims.  The model used was a combination of Continuous Assessment and Action-Research. The hypothesis is correct in that resource providers are currently engaging in the development of this new network. The ethnography research revealed how deeply the patriarchal strain is related to Korean culture. Although Korean women have the culture profoundly embedded in their thoughts and actions, this study demonstrates that educational insight will change their thoughts and actions.  This study demonstrated through workshops and seminars changing the possibility of their concepts and ideology of the equality between male and female in the image of God. With a special reference to Kenya, he studied the genesis and survival of this practice to the present day, documenting side effects of this inhuman terror against women.  The method of study included secondary resources from existing documented information and oral interviews.  The author concluded that eradication of female genital mutilation will be accomplished by consistent interdisciplinary efforts by the communities of faith, the medical community and women-based non-governmental organizations.  Education at the grassroots village level will lead to empowerment of women and eradication of these atrocities and crimes by a male dominated culture. This qualitative case study demonstrated thematic dconsistency in the way young adult women bereaved during college years engage or do not engage questions of God's character, justice and their own identities during bereavement.
