The researcher examined the literature dealing with the promises of the covenant to parents and their children. The researcher conducted interviews with Christian parents who have adult church-dropout children, and adults who had been church dropouts and returned to faith. The author planned for other young adults, peer ministers, to be the instruments through which those outlets were created.  The peer ministers received training and created programming for their peers, but the young adults and others at New Jerusalem did not feel that any programs were offered.
