After an entrance interview, the senior adults and youth participated in six group training sessions lasting at least one hour. The sessions consisted of studies involving generational differences, mentoring basics, and relationship building suggestions. The project was divided into eight seminar sessions focusing on prayer and student concerns. The objective was accomplished through a blended approach of research, sermonic series, and practical application. Evaluative tools included a pretest-posttest instrument, personal interviews, post project questionnaire, weekly participant evaluation, case studies, mock prayer experiments, and independent observation. The objectives for this project were to empower youth to make responsible choices concerning their future.  An eight-week session curriculum was developed on preventative education to promote healthy lifestyle choices.  The quantitative method included a pre/post test survey given to a sample population. Youth feel left out of the preaching moment.  Youth will respond to preaching that tries to meet them at their level, lifts up their experience as ways a community experiences the divine, and fosters a sense of companionship on the journey of faith that all disciples make.  To date there has been little written in the field of homiletics about the youth and preaching. The metaphor of preacher as companion incorporates inviting youth to reflect on their own identities, nurturing the youth, and lifting up their experiences as ways to encounter the divine.  The methods used to engage youth in preaching were using language that youth can understand, employing story and narrative, and occasionally moving out of the pulpit. This study argues that, in our present society, the church must provide educational resources and support for parents in order to empower them to equip teens to make life enhancing decisions. Through a teaching curriculum called 'Theology for Dummies,' a group of members from First Baptist Church learned simple steps for applying the Word of God to their everyday lives.  Chapter one of the report describes the ministry setting of the First Baptist Church and defines the need for and goals of the project.  Chapter two is a biblical survey of the relationship between beliefs and behaviors.  Through examining several Old and New Testament passages the author concludes that God has given mankind His Word with the intention that it change human behavior.  Chapter three is an examination of some social theories of learning. Chapter four describes the 'Theology for Dummies' curriculum. The survey and its results are printed and examined in this work.  Findings in this survey conclude that there is a direct relationship between adult/teen relationships and teen behavioral outcomes. The study examines evidence of links between alcohol consumption and cigarette smoking and other risk taking behaviors.  This project identifies the many issues confronting Orthodox Christians teens. This simply means that Bridgers learn visually, are drawn to experiences and desire meaningful relationships. They are also extremely tolerant of others. The research discloses that in addition to traditional youth ministry, successful ministry to Bridgers will also include communication that is full of imagery, rich relationships, authentic experiences and an understanding of tolerance. This equipping process included group meetings, exposure to other worship services, assigned books, periodicals, audio tapes and web-sites, as well as personal observations and reflections. The T.P.M. was a 24-week intervention program divided into 6-week modules. Each module was used to nurture the physical, psychological, and spiritual development of African American males, at the University Community Christian Church, located at 2171 Avondale Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46218. The Linear Analytic Model included: role play, group discussion, lectures, direct observation, prayer, and scripture.
