Participants were invited to engage a variety of spiritual practices via email and a Facebook (FB) group during the season of Advent (2012). The majority (88.2%) of youth completing the post-Advent survey relayed that the project helped them make time or find time for God in their lives. The church and youth group have seen significant growth over the last decade ministering to hundreds of students in Bentonville and the surrounding area. First Baptist's desire was to develop a comprehensive six-year church camp strategy that would be sustainable and effective in reaching and growing teenagers for Christ. The doctoral project was divided into three major sections. The first section explored the field of existing youth camp and youth ministry strategies as well as specific research of First Baptist Church, Bentonville, Arkansas. The second section developed the strategy of a church camp ministry with  the help of the strategy team from First Baptist Church. The project included a strategy to create the community task force, and team building principles to help the task force to operate effectively. The project used the Myers-Briggs Personality Index to understand positive differences between team members and enhance the team's strength through diversity. The team utilized business principles of 'silos,' and 'Mutual accountability' through the Oz Principle. It was anticipated that participating teenagers would demonstrate a willingness to discuss matters of faith, engage in theological reflection, find comfort and enjoyment in doing Lectio Divina with their parents, and show interest in continued spiritual practices at home. The difference between the pretest and posttest in the desire of the Christian adolescents to abstain from premarital sex was statistically significant. The paper's thesis is that a model can be developed to reach suburban Chinese-Canadian youth (SCCY), ages 14-18, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. First the paper defines suburbia, its characteristics, history and trends. Next the project's theological foundations are presented with the argument that the church can minister to SCCY. Relevant publications are reviewed. Toronto suburban living's impact on SCCY spirituality is examines. The purpose of this research is to bring attention to the plight of African American adolescent males and their problems with shame. Many children and youth affected by trauma (violence, homelessness, abuse, neglect, and/or natural disaster) do not have an opportunity for personal expression in a safe and/or spiritual environment. The participant-observation method of research was used to create a model connecting the creative arts, the church and community groups that work with at-risk children and youth by making collaborative story quilts. This project used the equipping program model. The project director conducted research in the field of leading youth small groups. He selected college students and equipped them to teach youth small groups by going through the training material developed in this research project. This weekend training seminar culminated in a lab experience, which consisted of leading a youth small group. The project director researched resources in the field of mentoring and youth culture and developed an annotated bibliography and a curriculum with the help of experts in the field of education. The director created the training curriculum used in a seven-session workshop with a selected group of adults who volunteered to serve as mentors at the request of student mentees. The curriculum for the workshop was developed with the guidance of professionals in the area of curriculum and instructional design.
