The project-thesis explores the presence of these characteristics in a Connecticut Congregational church.  A biblical and historical review establishes the characteristics' validity.  A literature review shows these characteristics' presence in historical Christian renewal movements.  To see if these characteristics are present in the ministry setting, a diagnostic tool is developed and administered to a sample of church leaders, identifying three leverage points.  Programs and system changes are designed and implemented to strengthen these areas. It grew out of the director's need to build a team to lead the church in building and relocating to a new facility and his need to encourage team-building skills.  A three-day retreat and four monthly workshops were created to train the team in biblical team-building concepts.
