For this Islam mission strategy development model, the project director first studied the areas of professional strategic planning and development for church planting and studied theories and practical application cases for Islam mission in order to establish and develop general strategic planning concerning church planting. Second, throughout the process of this study, the project director identified theoretical bases for Rasimpasa International Church to actively participate in the Islam mission ministry and developed a specific Islam mission strategy that can be applied in this situation of the church in Istanbul, Turkey. Third, the project director presented a developed Islam mission strategy for approval to selected group of leaders of Rasimpasa International Church. It also reflected the objective evaluation of experts on the achievement of the presented misistry goals and professional goals for this project. The project director sought to fulfill three goals for this project. First, to research the field of grief recovery in order to determine essential practices, he researched literature in grief recovery and evaluated essential grief recovery practices in rescue missions. The second goal was to identify the best model for grief recovery in substance abuse programs in selected rescue missions. He accomplished this goal by researching abuse programs in multiple North American rescue missions. Chapter one presents the ministry context and the goals of this project. Chapter two provides an exegesis of four passages of Scripture (Matthew 5:13-16; Acts 17:26,27; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23; Ephesians 2:1-10) to show God’s plan for humanity to walk in a relationship with him. The chapter also explains that God empowers believers by his grace to serve him and calls believers to be a witness for him in both word and action. Chapter three identifies four of the most formal evangelism methods and explains how relational ways of reaching out are a seamless transition from evangelism to discipleship. Chapter four describes the project itself, describing the details of the preparation and implementation of the project. Chapter five evaluates the purpose and goals of the project. This chapter also addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the project. The project sought to increase marital health through the use of a five-week immersive process that included daily engagement with Scripture and other written content, discussion-based engagement with peer couples, and a weekly date night experience for each couple. Marital health was measured using a twenty-item, six-point Likert scale survey to measure the couple’s perception of five critical areas of their marriage: conflict resolution, personal finance, sex and physical intimacy, ministry challenges, and emotional depth and connectedness. The survey was taken by all participants in identical form before and after the five-week program. The project included three goals: 1) the enlistment of ten couples who had relocated to urban areas in the preceding eighteen months, 2) a twenty percent positive shift in half of participating couples, and 3) the absorption of a helpful marriage principle or habit by half of all individual participants. The project met all three of these goals.
