Many part-time pastors and church employees receive financial support, but spiritual and emotional support is lacking.  Bivocational ministers and their spouses were enlisted to participate in a support group.  The purpose of the group was to guide participants in developing supportive relationships with one another. As a result, participants were to grow professionally and personally.  The Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis and interviews with a professional counselor provided objective data for evaluation.  Case studies were used to help group members analyze and theologically reflect on each experience. Research was accomplished through reading, personal interviews and pre-testing.  Participating pastors gained a significant understanding of the value of bivocational ministry.
