Out of this study has come a manual to teach pastors and teachers how to work in partnership with the seminary to train young seminarians. Supervision/consultation is viewed as a continuum for training and sustaining ministering persons, its function being similar to pastoral care: healing, sustaining, guiding, reconciling.  A definition, theology, and methodology are developed for pastoral supervision/consultation, and project materials and related resources used during the 1979-81 supervision/consultation with field education students and clergy in a pastoral counseling training program with the author form the appendix.
