The project participants attended two six-hour training events. The first event concentrated on the role of mentoring and the second on acquiring a basic understanding of interpresonal relationship skills. The project director recruited Baptist leaders from churches in the Lamar and Lebanon Baptist Associations currently supporting the Baptist Student Union. He developed the teaching material, a fill-in-the-blank notebook, a pre-test/post-test, and a covenant response sheet. The strategy was designed by the project director after performing evaluations and surveys of the pastors, ministers of evangelism, ministers of education, and outreach directors.  The evaluations determined the level of evangelistic intentionality of the miniisterial staff and the church members. Demographies were overviewed to discover the people groups who reside in the communities surrounding the churches.  The responses from the evaluations and surveys were used by the director to determine the course of action needed by the churches to implement the NET. A qualitative research method was employed using surveys and in-depth interviews.  The researcher discovered that conflict situations exist, that participants have an understanding of conflict, and that they believe the church should be concerned about the issue of conflict.  Many participants have unresolved feelings where conflict situations are not engaged. The first chapter describes some complaints from the parishioners in the diocese of Kirinyaga of clergy who are currently serving in various parishes and are not qualified enough to meet the needs of the Christians in the pews.  The second chapter is an outline of curriculum issues in ACK colleges.  The third chapter gives Biblical Foundations for Theological Education, and the impact of these foundations on theological education today.  The fourth chapter presents the research data analysis based on the five categories of the respondents who completed and returned the questionnaires.  There respondents were: students, clergy, laity, tutors and bishops. An outline of the issues and concerns put forward by the respondents shows that review and evaluation of the current curriculum is urgent and important. The project director accomplished three project goals and four professional goals.  The project goals were effective research, curriculum development, and equipping pastors to serve as volunteer chaplains.
