The theoretical foundation for the study is in adult education and examines concepts of experiential and transformative learning, processes of meaning-making and the social construction of the self, as well as the centrality of narrative and autobiography in personal learning. Theological reflections focus on the social and historical conditions of learning in the Christian community, the narrative structure of faith, and the contributions of both narrative and biographical theology to an understanding of Christian identity and change. The research methodology used is qualitative case study guided by Mishler's narrative approach to research interviewing. Five participants were interviewed with an attempt at gender equity and variety in denominational attachment. Results reveal the intense relationship between personal change, vocational identity and ministerial practice. The study demonstrates the extent to which lifelong themes were translated into ministerial practice, how trauma impacted the learning process, and the contribution of faith to learning. The questionnaire 'Officer Training Evaluation' was developed and given to all current officers and to the men who had completed officer- training class but did not submit to ordination.  Results of the evaluation suggest that changes made because of this project improved the officer training process and aided in the relationships between the elders and deacons and between the session and the board of deacons. The volunteers for this study were Anglican clergy from the Diocese of Huron.  The project has grown out of the traditional Anglican demand that the clergy participate in a discipline of daily offices, the sense that these offices no longer meet the needs of the clergy, the Myers-Briggs personality type indicator and various forms of Lectio Divina.  From this I developed specific daily offices for each personality type.  The volunteers filled out a pre-test survey.  Then they followed the daily office for their personality type for one month and finally filled out a post test survey. 94.4% of the clergy surveyed said that the traditional daily offices did not meet their needs for spiritual development and nurture.  There was no significant difference by personality type. The research question addressed in this project is: What training model was effective for training purpose?  This model was evaluated by three Taiwanese professors and three Taiwanese pastors.  This project involves two areas: (1) training strategies and (2) training contents.
