The procedure was to design a process to encourage more people to be active.  There was a survey of needs and a personal study of leadership that equips.  A small group Bible study was designed and taught to teach the priesthood of all believers, to help people discover spiritual gifts, and to learn personality type. Fifteen people participated in the Bible study. Awareness was increased.  An organizational system was designed for helping people begin to serve. Among them is the church which has played a central role in the settlement of Korean immigrants in the United States. Currently, there are over 2,000 Korean-American churches in the United States. Unfortunately, this rapid growth in the number of Korean-American churches does not go hand in hand with the expected level of maturity in church life. Especially, active involvement of church members is not consistent from church to church.  This study takes an approach that development of active involvement of church members is one of the most important tasks of the ministry of pastors. The thesis used to test the research question was: Increased organizational commitment results when an individual's personal meaning fits with organizational mission. The hypothesis that poststudy commitment level scores would be higher than prestudy commitment level scores was satisfied.
