Chapter two examined the biblical material pertaining to transition.  Chapter three presented various leadership and personality styles of pastors to understand how these factors affect transition.  Chapter four examined models of church transition.  The transitional Baptist model was examined along with models used by different denominations. The effectiveness of two other models (First Baptist Church, Dallas Texas, and Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama/First Baptist Church, Carrollton, Texas) was evaluated. Chapter one presented background information, definitions, research instruments and a statement of the projects' three goals.  Chapter two was focused on Biblical, theoretical, and literature foundation for conflict.  Chapter three addressed the social and psychological background of Korean immigrant churches, describing the religious background of Korean mentality, politics of Korea, the history of the Baptist church in Korea, and Korean churches in the U.S.  It identified how authority infected pastors and caused conflict in church. Chapter four attempted to equip pastors with conflict resolution skills. Chapter five evaluated the methodology used to find pastors' conflict. A pastor is a primary source of conflict in church. For the hypothesis to be confirmed there needed to be a demonstrable increase in both unity and clarity of vision among Vision Group members. The paradigm was presented in a series of five sermons and teaching lessons to the congregation of Berean Grace Fellowship, and in a series of five sermons to the pastor's conference of the Grace Gospel Fellowship. The two groups of respondents received the same information about the paradigm. After the presentations were completed, a post-evaluation assessment was administered to evaluate the impact, adequacy, and presentation of the paradigm. Three sessions on these subjects were designed by the pastor and presented to the church board. Five related sessions were presented to the congregation. The findings revealed that board and congregation were distrustful and non-supportive of each other. One congregant even challenged the board and pastor openly at the close of session four. The model utilized a sermon series and small group Bible study to increase the congregation's ability to perform long-term visioning. Consequences of the qualitative analysis indicated the intervention resulted in increased awareness of vision, related to spiritual calling in the lives of the small group and the congregation. Church, Elyria, Ohio. This transformation was addressed by implementing a five-step program of enhancing the areas of worship life, music, fellowship, health, and Christian education. These areas were enhanced by workshops, programs, restructuring, and awareness seminars. The implementation phase of the project lasted six months. The project produced the emergence of a deeper involvement of the congregation in the ministries and a concern for the wellness and development of the congregation and its
