A dialogue between St. Paul and passionists of today will provide some recommendations for spiritual renewal.  The author employed James and Evelyn Whitehead's practical theology method in the integration process. He creates and teaches a curriculum on this topic in the faith community he ministers to. The goal of the curriculum is to invite to a different interpretation of the death of Jesus that appeals to critically thinking people of the 21st century. The curriculum challenges the participants of the study group by interpreting Jesus' death as martyrdom-as a consequence of his life and message.
