It is this author's conviction that it is time for the church to claim the theological premise that crafting eucharistic practices of friendship across cultures provides a vision of faith that will address racial divisiveness and build bridges of reconcilitation in society.  The author wrote a workbook that served as an instrument to facilitate daily reflection upon ways the Eucharist inspires practices of friendship across ethnicity and social class.  The author conducted an eight-week project which included multi-cultural worship, sharing of stories in small groups, and participation in Eucharist.  Evaluation of the project included the use of surveys and interviews. The author designed and conducted a process for a small group that incorporated practices of faith, explicit theological reflection and discussion of potentially divisive issues facing the Anglican Church of Canada.  She sought to discover whether such a process strengthened unity and to explore the function of the ordained parish leader in the process. The literature research centers on the Bible and pertinent books on cultural anthropology, systematic theory, leadership, postmodern culture, church history and church planting. The chapters help church leaders address their corporate relational system, leadership culture, neighborhood ethnicity, postmodern Americans, and church planting. Each section contains pertinent information and specific recommendations for change.
