It is an art which is developed through relationships and experiences.  This study challenges methods of decision-making which offer authoritarian attachment and deny one's personal responsibility.  The suggested alternative is an approach to decision-making based on an interpretation of the will of God which focuses on being over doing.  This study is particularly aimed at helping Christian college students to become more mature decision makers. Not only can it keep us from making wise decisions, it can set up a pattern that leaves us unable to make any decisions at all.  This paper seeks to explore some ways in which to understand this problem and suggests that one way to overcome this problem is through the employment of an active imagination.
