I researched the field of discipleship and, along with the wisdom and planning of a Strategy Team, created a strategy for strengthening and developing small groups and micro-groups. I implemented four elements to develop the disciple-making strategy: (1) explore disciple-making needs for FBCCH; (2) explore existing models of disciple-making to determine best practices; (3) develop a disciple-making strategy with the help of a Strategy Team; (4) present the strategy to ministerial staff and key leaders of FBCCH. Although the congregation verbally affirms Reformed preaching, worship, and government, the study found that discipleship is often understood and practiced in broadly evangelical rather than distinctly Presbyterian and Reformed categories, and many participants\r\ndemonstrated limited ability to articulate core Presbyterian and Reformed convictions. As a result, confessional identity, theological continuity, and intentionally Reformed disciple formation have become less clearly articulated and consistently practiced in the congregation. The project develops a theological and theoretical framework through an examination of Reformed discipleship, missional discipleship, and their integration into a proposed model\r\ntermed Reformissional Discipleship. Reformissional Discipleship is defined as a confessionally grounded approach to disciple-making that maintains the primacy of covenant theology, worship, ecclesiology, and the ordinary means of grace while fostering faithful participation in the missio Dei through the life and ministry of covenant community. Using a mixed-method action research design, the study employed a congregational survey, a focus group with the Committee on Edification, and semi-structured interviews with members and church leaders. Findings revealed strong appreciation for preaching, worship, and\r\nrelational fellowship, but also limited shared understanding of discipleship and a lack of intentional structures for disciple-making. In response, this project proposes a strategic plan for discipleship renewal centered on confessional formation, relational discipling structures, leadership development, and greater integration of discipleship into the ordinary life of the\r\nchurch."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"_version_":1866636029477257216,"timestamp":"2026-05-30T17:40:39.390Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2026-05-30T17:20:55Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2026-05-30T17:20:56Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"20509106-6a33-40da-897b-82ffc4254c42","accessControl_ssim":["cfdf6bac-7db2-4e02-b0cc-8dfc9eff6eda"],"depositor_ssim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"title_tesim":["Missional Preaching: Mobilizing Local Church Congregants for Personal Outreach Through Sermons"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2026-05-30T17:20:54Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2026-05-30T17:20:54Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["cf8053be-f473-4cde-a7be-f05ef9f4e890"],"hasLease_ssim":["43b860b2-dbd1-4e5e-a08e-d2a84c5800f2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity International University"],"year_tesim":["2026"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. A six-week sermon series titled You Were Blessed to BLESS served as the central intervention, focusing on five relational outreach practices. Data were collected through pre- and post-series surveys measuring beliefs, motivations, and behaviors, followed by ten semi-structured interviews that explored how\r\nparticipants interpreted and practiced these changes within their everyday relationships. The findings demonstrate that preaching corresponded with measurable motivational shifts and emerging missional activation. Participants reported increased awareness of everyday relationships as opportunities for spiritual influence, a strengthened sense of personal responsibility for outreach, and a notable rise in confidence initiating spiritual conversations. These internal shifts corresponded with observable engagement, particularly in practices of prayer and service, while other practices developed more incrementally. Participants consistently described moving from passive agreement to intentional participation, engaging others through relational, everyday interactions rather than programmatic efforts. The study concludes that sustained, memorable, and practice-oriented preaching can cultivate progressive engagement in God's mission by aligning belief, motivation, and action. Rather than producing immediate or dramatic transformation, missional preaching forms believers over time who increasingly participate in God's redemptive work through the ordinary relationships of daily life."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"_version_":1866634789395628032,"timestamp":"2026-05-30T17:20:56.757Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2026-05-29T20:02:19Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2026-05-29T20:02:20Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"4e705d7e-193c-4545-991c-f7e4902805f3","accessControl_ssim":["bb0b59e5-7ed2-4b81-966b-c7660d8562ef"],"depositor_ssim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"title_tesim":["Evaluating the Transformation Effectiveness of Integrated Biblical Teaching at Two Rivers Church: A Baseline Study"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2026-05-29T20:02:18Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2026-05-29T20:02:18Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6040d333-6ae7-4e62-b05e-453f85444f54"],"hasLease_ssim":["28fb1a2a-c772-47fd-b657-fa56bd56a653"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Trinity International University"],"year_tesim":["2026"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The research asked a simple question: \"Are we becoming more like Jesus, together?\" Using a pretest-posttest mixed-methods survey design, the study measured self-reported spiritual growth across four core values that define the biblical DNA of a follower of Jesus at Two Rivers Church: Gospel-centered, Word-dependent, Spirit-empowered, and Relationally Connected. A transformation rubric grounded in these core values provided the measurement framework for quantitative rating scales and qualitative open-ended responses.\r\nThe theoretical framework drew on biblical theology, spiritual formation theory, transformational church research, and educational theory, establishing that lasting spiritual change requires learning cycles beyond weekend sermons. The quantitative findings revealed a congregation in the \"Growing to Maturing\" range across all four core values, with the most significant movement occurring in daily Scripture engagement through the LIO guide. Relationally Connected consistently scored highest across all assessments. The qualitative findings revealed seven distinct themes describing how participants experienced the integrated model. Participants reported transformed marriages, reconciled relationships, and reoriented daily priorities as direct results of sustained engagement with the weekend message. The findings indicated that the integrated teaching model produced indicators of spiritual transformation among those who engaged it consistently, though a significant portion of the congregation had not yet adopted regular daily engagement. This baseline assessment established the foundation for a longitudinal evaluation over the next three years, providing Two Rivers Church with an evidence-based framework for ongoing discipleship. The study also demonstrated that churches can develop tools to measure spiritual transformation, grounded in their theological convictions."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["dminadmin@tiu.edu"],"_version_":1866554347236622336,"timestamp":"2026-05-29T20:02:21.136Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2026-01-29T15:06:02Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2026-01-29T15:06:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d2b81811-a588-4687-91d8-1a6d30cb1907","accessControl_ssim":["7d04e8ea-640a-4cc7-acab-13802419ab00"],"depositor_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"title_tesim":["Equipping Worship Ministry Team Members of Fifth Street Baptist Church, Key West, Florida, in Selected Spiritual Disciplines"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2026-01-29T15:06:01Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2026-01-29T15:06:02Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["116c210c-304a-4b9b-ab30-e87e31402f33"],"hasLease_ssim":["a4efd484-19e3-474d-ac22-1dc3c9d2634d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Dr. Mike Wetzel"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"location_tesim":["Florida"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. From these skills, an eight-session curriculum was developed and implemented to train selected adults during a Friday night and Saturday\r\nmorning workshop.\r\n\r\nEvaluation for the project was accomplished through a pretest and posttest. Each participant took a test before the workshop began to assess their level of understanding of disciple making. Once the curriculum was completed, the participants took the same test to determine what was learned. At the end of the workshop, each participant provided an evaluation of the workshop to determine the value of the training. The results of both evaluations helped measure the success of the project."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1855590333921886208,"timestamp":"2026-01-28T19:34:03.233Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2026-01-15T22:41:32Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2026-01-15T22:41:38Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"ba1923ac-67a6-4cd7-9807-dc9f5c0cebda","accessControl_ssim":["7674a2c2-4f4a-440d-b300-0cea5f5bb263"],"hasRelatedMediaFragment_ssim":["53c67891-28b0-4cc7-90c6-569a51b7443c"],"hasRelatedImage_ssim":["53c67891-28b0-4cc7-90c6-569a51b7443c"],"depositor_ssim":["rmendez@student.ctu.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["rmendez@student.ctu.edu"],"title_tesim":["To be known is to be loved: A call to journey alongside Latino/a communities for effective pastoral leadership"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2026-01-15T22:41:31Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2026-01-15T22:41:31Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["f8ff6cb9-f506-4259-b037-695cc4a75be3"],"hasLease_ssim":["4f0eb379-d321-4485-a3f3-91e2861e82a9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Catholic Theological Union"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. To be known requires respect and understanding of their communities’ pastoral needs and religious practices. Sadly, many leaders have a colonial mentality that foments stereotypes and even prejudice toward Hispanics. The only way to move beyond this mentality is to sincerely enter into relationships with Latino(a)s, and understand how they see themselves. This respectful understanding must begin with our Church leaders. Latino/as want to share their cultural and religious practices that connect them to their families and ancestors. Although the Hispanic Catholics play a vital role in the life of the Church, barriers to inclusion remain. Hispanic Catholics want to fully participate in the Church’s mission to serve the whole community. They are eager to share their gifts through collaborative service in their parishes.\r\n\r\nIn this thesis project I reveal Hispanic communities that are already present but not often seen. I introduce their religious practices to the larger community including church leaders. I focus on the religious practice called Adoración Nocturna Mexicana (Mexican Nocturnal Adoration). A practice where members of the Mexican Catholic communities spend the night in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar where, like all Catholics, they worship the true presence of Jesus Christ in the consecrated hosts reposited in the Tabernacle and exposed in the monstrance on the altar during nocturnal adoration vigil. The study shows how Hispanics have historically and are presently practicing nocturnal adoration as part of their popular religious practices. More importantly, I explore what drives them toward these religious practices. By listening to their stories, I have heard their heartfelt voices as they express their needs and desires, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. I also demonstrate how they emulate the Samaritan woman at the well (John: 4-42), and like her are moved to evangelization when they also come to the realization of being known and therefore loved by Christ. \r\n\r\nI delve into the pastoral, social, and theological dimensions of Hispanic popular Catholicism and devotional practices, referred to as Santo praxis and lo cotidiano (the everyday). \r\n\r\nThe goal is to demonstrate how popular religious devotion is forged in the historical struggles of people who are oppressed. I describe in detail the rituals promoted by Adoración Nocturna Mexicana. \r\n\r\nAnd finally, share a theological reflection of the study’s findings and a pastoral response related to the importance of intercultural competence for effective leadership and accompaniment of Hispanic communities.\r\n"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/53c67891-28b0-4cc7-90c6-569a51b7443c?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["53c67891-28b0-4cc7-90c6-569a51b7443c"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["53c67891-28b0-4cc7-90c6-569a51b7443c"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["rmendez@student.ctu.edu"],"_version_":1854424409589153792,"timestamp":"2026-01-15T22:42:11.142Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:02Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b4d93c0a-ec74-41ba-bd84-ccb090a2ca8e","accessControl_ssim":["f4d0edbb-35ab-49ce-bd9c-c575cb6a9c37"],"depositor_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"depositor_tesim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"title_tesim":["Developing a Men’s Discipleship Strategy for Kingsley Lake Baptist Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:00Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2025-06-12T19:01:01Z","isPartOf_ssim":["admin_set/default"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["970ff975-22da-4009-a0ad-aeb6ba10794e"],"hasLease_ssim":["e859265b-7896-4a78-8424-0ee958045ded"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["DMin"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Dr Mike Wetzel"],"year_tesim":["2025"],"location_tesim":["Florida"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. I identified the men’s discipleship needs using demographic studies and a spiritual health assessment. In the second phase, I explored existing discipleship models to identify best practices for men’s discipleship. The project’s third phase focused on developing the final men’s discipleship strategy. I assembled and trained a strategy planning team of eight men to assist in developing the men’s discipleship strategy. In the final phase of the project, I presented the strategy to the men and members of Kingsley Lake Baptist Church for approval."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["kstamant@nobts.edu"],"_version_":1834750957001375744,"timestamp":"2025-06-12T19:01:04.694Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"D.Min.
