HOLD the children's work is patterned after the Two Hands Ministry Model of Jesus. The Bible has much to say about poverty and peoples responsibilities concerning it. Development experts estimate 1.4 billion people live in extreme poverty-subsisting on a {dollar}1 a day or less. There is extensive debate over how to effectively eradicate extreme poverty. Haiti, the context for this case study, is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere where 78 percent of its people live in poverty. A significant problem in Haiti is hunger. The study provides an opportunity to the Church, mission committees, and agencies to listen to and learn from the story of a team as it works with Scripture and available literature on dependency and interdependency in their efforts to live and work among the poor. This study is part of their journey. The double paycheck couples' problems became barriers not only for the couples' relations but also for their child-rearing and faith journey. I endeavored to solve the couples' conflicts and problems by applying the concepts and techniques of the Imago Couples' therapy based on my survey of the biblical understanding and traditional Korean concept of couples' relation as companionship.
