The goal is not to isolate the therapeutic benefits of the spiritual disciplines, but to grow in godliness.  Doctoral classes and library research were combined to create an eight-session class which focused first on intimacy and spiritual intimacy.  The remaining six sessions dealt with the spiritual disciplines of the Word, meditative prayer, simplicity, forgiveness, service and worship. This project's goal was to present this design for families in an eleven-session intervention, thereby strengthening the family systems and their church.  The method of research included presentations, discussions, drama, and tests.  Conclusions were drawn from comparisons of pre- and posttests, which included scales for information and perception.  The results of the project were that while the knowledge about families increased significantly, the feelings about family changed less. Chapter 2 discusses the development of the biblical model of the one-flesh relationship of marriage.  Chapter 3 uses research in the behavioral sciences to focus on the development of the marriage enrichment movement and ministry.  Chapter 4 focuses on implementation of a marriage enrichment program in Victory Baptist Church.  The social research tools used to measure growth in a couple's primary coping system as a result of marriage enrichment are also discussed. Chapter 5 presents a summary and evaluation of the ministry project. This project tested the hypothesis that enhanced communication and improved personality awareness among spouses would enrich marriage relationships.  The methodology of this project included theological and social research in the areas of Christian marriage and communication.  Private couple/leader sessions and group sessions were used to implement this project. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, M-BTI Relationship Report, Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, and Prepare-Enrich Inventory were utilized throughout this project. The training was carried out through pre-retreat examinations and questionnaires, a three-day training and enrichment retreat, and follow-up evaluations. Methodologically project data was derived from survey and interview material using one school as a case study.  The statistical analysis was related to church-relatedness and coherence by reviews of literature in the fields of theology, epistemology, faith development, church-relatedness, and college curriculum development. The findings supported the important role of curricular and co-curricular coherence in church-related higher education. Tracing the historical development of the Order and the charism of the founder, the project addresses the faith development and spiritual needs of the young adult male to whom the organization makes appeal through this program.
