Roman Catholic priests and parishioners participated in this case study. The researcher provided a one-day workshop on Lectio Divina and preaching preparation for the priests. He utilized focus groups for gathering qualitative data from both priests and parishioners. As a result the writer developed and taught the course, 'Towards an evangelical understanding of Roman Catholicism,' covering post-Vatican II theological developments using concepts of adult education. Although evangelicals have serious doctrinal differences with the Catholic Church, this does not rule out cooperation. The course seemed to slightly increase knowledge of the Catholic Church and confidence in sharing the gospel with Catholics.
