Children afflicted with leprosy were alienated and had an especially hard time adjusting to society.  These children are physically normal but are social outcasts because of such problems as family background, living environment, educational situation, social restrictions, and psychological conflicts or anxieties.  The purpose of this project is to produce a unique educational program for children of leprosy victims in the Yosu Aeyangwon area in Korea. An eight-week training seminar, which focused on the development of certain healthy family traits, assisted the families in accomplishing this task.  These training sessions offered times for mutual support and dialogue among the families. The results of the project revealed that only slight growth was realized. Separation of husband from family to work in distant places for economic survival is a most serious situation impacting families in Kenya.  The church has an important role on educating families to survive and reshape society. Learning methods employed included a seven week sermon series, thirteen training sessions that dealt specifically with husband-wife and parent-child relationships, and a marriage enrichment retreat.  Evaluation of the control and experimental groups was based on a pre and posttest instrument, an instrument measuring relationship change, outside observation, subjective analysis, and personal reflections.  The project resulted in strengthened husband-wife relationships of both groups and an increased awareness of the possibilty for growth in the area of family praxis'.  The central focus is a workshop methodology which is progressive in design, content, and format, and is based on principles of androgogy.  The workshops give: 1) an experience of shared Christian praxis by using the theme 'coming to know God'; 2) a knowledge, practical understanding and an opportunity to use shared Christian praxis; 3) a demonstration of how the Sadlier Religion Program uses shared Christian praxis as a teaching-learning process in the K-8 curriculum; 4) a redefinition of shared Christian praxis which enables classroom religion teachers to use the process effectively. The workshops are designed to educate religion teachers in Catholic school religion programs and in parishes. The investigation was undertaken by means of an in-depth clinical case study of Roman Catholic women who had experienced the sense of being called to religious life. The mutual influence of spiritual and psychosocial growth was illustrated by means of the case material within the limits of the case study methodology.
