The project included the teaching of a class on televangelism at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon, Sask.  The thesis begins with three hypothetical scenes of religious television in the days of Christ and His assumed reactions to it. The thesis consists of two parts.  Part one includes historical and philosophical reasons for the use of religious programs on television.  Part two presents summaries and a proposal for positive involvement for the ELCIC. This project shifts focus from catechesis for liturgy to liturgy as catechesis.  The project report describes the relationship between liturgy and catechesis and develops a process for planning a program of catechesis through liturgy including suggestions for recruiting and maintaining volunteers.  Lesson plans and theological content are given for a course to train liturgical catechists.
