It evaluates the 'Perspectives in Feminist Theology' curriculum which is prepared as a group-guided study for the Perkins School of Theology.  It evaluates Groome's 'shared praxis' approach and its potential for effectively presenting material which is 'engaged' in the cause of the full participation and empowerment of women in church and society.  The thesis is that upon completion of the curriculum, the student and participating group have an introduction to various models of feminist theology and are prepared to continue the feminist theological task through further study and personal participation. Conclusions are based on evaluations of participants in the study and from a Perkins School of Theology senior who worked with the currriculum. The author hypothesized that this might be accomplished by substituting three rites of spiritual passage for the customary infant baptism and confirmation.  Drawing on the liturgies of the Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and United Church of Canada and the work of developmental psychologists he designed three rites of passage and tested them in his congregation over a period of two years. The hypotheses were that those trained in lifestyle evangelism would report more witnessing encounters and time spent in prayer for the lost than those trained in traditional evangelism. The data for this study was taken from weekly evangelism surveys filed by each student participating in the study. During a three-month worship workshop, questionnaires and interviews were administered.  The data indicated improvements in understanding and profit from worship.  Preparation for worship was realized to be essential for true, profitable worship.  The study concludes that worship education should be included in church curriculums. The project addresses two issues.  The first is the lack of theological hermeneutics in most mainline Protestants.  The second is a personal need within the author to rework his own understanding of christology.  The education model utilized David Ausabel's 'advance organizer' model because of its techniques of imparting large blocks of new information, and Thomas Groome's 'shared praxis' approach because of its techniques of hooking the inner story of the participant into the story being taught.  As evaluation, class members were tested for content, acceptance of controversial issues, and the adequacy of the education model.
