'Living Into Our Baptism,' developed by Hughes and Westerhoff, is evaluated through participant interviews as an in-depth preparatory process leading to baptismal reaffirmation. The data from one hundred clergy and lay leaders reveals that both clergy and lay participate fully in three primary functions of ministry.  Priest's tend to emphasize the ordering and meaning giving functions, while laity emphasize the serving function.  Clergy exercise leadership in the ministries of worship, education, and pastoral care.  Laity lead in the ministries of stewardship, evangelism, and service. The historical research conducted to develop this paper included review of the documents of the Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Mississippi, the parish, the state of Mississippi, and the town of Yazoo City.  Interviews, both oral and written, were conducted with residents, former residents, and clergy in order to learn additional stories and to aid in the interpretation of other information.  The purpose of the project was to provide a permanent collection of stories about the history of God's people in the Episcopal Church in Yazoo County. Finally, a critique is conducted using the 'diakonia,' 'koinonia,' and 'kerygma' functions of parish ministry. Divorced clergy required to leave their parishes experience a second devastating loss, creating intense shame.  Ten clergy who remained in their parishes for three years, postdivorce, in two-hour interviews, report significant mutuality in dealing with the shame of divorce and with the loss both priest and parish suffer in clerical divorce. The study uses loss theory, systems theory, and cognitive theory to elucidate the data obtained from surveys of the priests, their wives, and their new co-workers. Venture in Faith shares the physical facilities and several programs.  The study explores difficulties encountered in reaching the agreement and also current concerns.  It projects future possibilities for mutual mission.
