The two phases involved in meeting the project goals were that the project director extensively researched persecution and then developed an applicable training resource. The professional goals of this project were to increase the project director's knowledge of persecution and to increase his skill in developing a training resource. Expert evaluators validated the project. In response, the researcher drew insights from the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) highlighting the importance of discipleship as an intentional pursuit instead of an accidental venture.  The literature review dealt with current and relevant issues within the Naga society.  A mixed methods approach along with grounded theory was the research path.  The research revealed that discipleship, although deemed important was not happening in most churches. A five-point Likert scale questionnaire was distributed to 188 people, then collected, collated and analyzed. It is God's intention to see his followers transformed into the image of his Son. One of the methods he has chosen to use to realize this spiritual life-change is the preaching of his Word. But preachers have to make sure they are committed to life-changing sermons and not merely an informational exchange. Sermons are meant to bring transformation, not simply inform people of what a biblical text is saying. The purpose of this study is to reintroduce the figure of John Berridge to a contemporary readership. Second it will argue that it is John Berridge's appropriation of the post-Reformational experiential tradition with its re-discovery of justification by faith that is foundational to his conversion, surrounds his experience in the Cambridgeshire Revival, and sustains his ministry in Everton. Selah is trinitarian and biblical in its spiritual theology of who God is and how he works in our lives, shaping us into the image of his Son, and contemplative in its methodology, training directors in attentiveness and responsiveness to the Holy Spirit in a spiritual direction session. A worship pastor has the opportunity to shape the church and strengthen the effectiveness of its mission. First, the shepherd metaphor and shepherd leadership were examined. Second, an exploration of servant leadership and transformational leadership was conducted. Finally, interviews with eight worship pastors were conducted to determine how they perceive their leadership and how they lead. However, if the gospel is for everyone, churches must broaden their vision; Muslim background believers must become an integral part of the church. To that end, with effectual evangelism and discipleship, local churches must be empowered to minister to Muslims, and to integrate them into their congregations. Many of these churches are in a declining status, often due to the removal of the historic gospel from the pulpits. It will take preaching the historic gospel of Jesus Christ from the pulpit once again to revitalize these churches. Towards that end, this project was undertaken to help cast a vision for revitalizing mainline churches and to encourage evangelical pastors to consider pursuing pulpits in mainline churches, to replant the gospel seed, and to revitalize these churches in order to reach communities for Christ. This thesis is targeted at church replanters and church replanter coaches.
