The thesis is defended upon the basis of New Testament evangelistic practices as well as those of successful contemporary churches in Guatemala and elsewhere. A two-hour seminar over the manual was held with 113 Christians who wanted to win Mormons.  After a three-month period, the results were collected.  This took place in Santiago, Chile.  Of 55 non-missionary Mormons witnessed to, 24 left Mormonism, 14 were converted and 5 actually joined the Christian workers' churches. All ministry activities were evaluated through participant questionnaires. A model for witness training and relational evangelism is developed from the evangelistic principles evident in John's gospel.  Participants learn to interact in a personable manner with unfamiliar people and develop new relationships at that first encounter. Relational evangelism is tested in its most difficult situation. Research methodology involved the proposal of a theological and psychosocial rationale for evangelism among senior adults. An evangelistic program entitled the ISAAC plan (Inviting Senior Adults to Accept Christ) was established. The fifty fastest growing congregations were examined.  The difference between the attendence-to-baptized ratios for larger and smaller churches was .8 percent: 30.6 percent and 31.4 percent, respectively.  There is no real difference in participation based on size.  Approximately 32 percent of the baptized belong to the 10 percent of churches which are larger.  41 of the 50 fastest growing churches were larger churches with multiple staffs.
