The area of discipleship used to test this means of teaching was evangelism.  Each online class session included video teaching and follow-up questions that were answered in an online forum. The outcome of the study was determined by comparing the results of each participant's pre-test and post-test. This collaboration or clustering for mission and outreach, enables declining small churches to pool their resources so that in working together in both local and global outreach, they can reclaim their missional call.  This thesis-project demonstrates that after a season of study, discussion and fellowship together, church leaders realize that working together in mission will enable them to do together what they could not do alone.  This thesis-project presents the process, procedures, and study guides used in leading three small membership churches in a six week study of the missional church. I seek to marry church planting with discipleship, making discipleship the primary focus in the church planting endeavor. The aim is to provide the church planter with an appropriate purpose for planting a church as well as with an accurate picture of what discipleship looks like in order to produce and reproduce it. This work challenges the church planter to consider 'what' to plant more so than 'how' to plant. The church planter will be armed with a process for making disciples in and through his church plant and be free of having to retrofit a process. Often several churches in the same community evangelize the same people, each then vying for the new converts. There is a better way: collaboration, documentation, and fellowship. Therefore, Chapter one identified biblical patterns of evangelism juxtaposed with evangelistic methods today in St. Albans, NY. Chapter two and three discuss the interrelated theological and anthropological dynamic in collaboration. Chapter four uses the Hexagon exercise with a learning team of neighboring pastors to develop a working methodology. The project director researched the fields of new member assimilation and strategy development along with the biblical basis of church membership. After the research segment the project director led Eastwood Baptist Church to create a New Member Orientation Committee to assist in developing a new member orientation strategy. The project director trained the New Member Orientation Committee to understand the basics of new member orientation and to develop a strategy to improve assimilation. With the support of a strategy planning team, an evangelistic outreach strategy emerged for the purpose of reaching unchurched senior adults in Pinellas County, Florida. The strategy planning team met once a week for four weeks. The strategy planning team examined the research made available for the purpose of developing a comprehensive strategy for the association. The project director assisted the strategy planning team in understanding the basic components of a strategy. He also guided the strategy planning team in completing a workable strategy for the association. The project director utilized these resources to produce the lessons used to equip the selected group. The second phase was to develop lesson plans to teach in a seminar format. The final phase of the project involved implementing the seminar for the training of the selected group. The seminar consisted of an introduction session, ten lessons during five sessions, and a concluding session. The seminar was conducted on five Sunday evenings. This dissertation encouraged church leaders to do total mobilization through the two main wings of a successful evangelism event, which are fervent prayer ministry and cooperative service ministry. The ministry of Jesus and the early church demonstrated how prayer and service ministry promote effective evangelism. The history of the Korean church's evangelism methods and the crusade evangelism in the United States revealed that fervent prayer and service ministry determined the effectiveness of total mobilization.
