Hence, in light of the Reformed theology of missio Dei (the mission of God), an evangelism and discipleship strategy can be formed for CEC to be more effective to minister to these Mainland Chinese intellectuals. The literature review focuses on the theological understanding of Jonah as a model for evangelizing the never churched as well as a discussion of postmodernism and Generation X. The research method was a survey of persons from eleven different churches. My thesis is that the preaching of the gospel together with providing social ministry will have a positive impact on those who live in Hartford's troubled inner-city. The research included a likert scale questionnaire and a focus group using open-ended questions.  I successfully trained 38 persons to witness and make disciples in gang infested, crime ridden neighborhoods that surround Mount Moriah Baptist Church. The author uses a qualitative research design to gather and evaluate data.  Subjects are studied within the context of performing a postmodern method of evangelism. Findings from this study indicate that after a fifteen week period of instruction, subjects are able to utilize a specified sequence of interrogatives with a moderate level of competency.
