The six-session program (including a twelve-chapter story, reflection questions, and group discussion) was based on biblical theology of mission and work as well as core concepts in the Business as Mission movement. Fifteen marketplace leaders participated in the three-month program. participants. Participants were pretested and posttested using both quantitative and qualitative measurements. First, this dissertation demonstrates God's preparatory activity in general revelation. The first voyagers to Hawaii had a general knowledge of a supreme being. Second, this dissertation demonstrates God's use of historical events to present special revelation to the Hawaiians through the missionaries of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. Finally, this dissertation demonstrates the application of research findings toward the writer's present ministry at Puna Baptist Church. These research findings will revitalize Puna Baptist Church's evangelistic strategy. The new evangelistic strategy will utilize the historical fact that the first Hawaiian voyagers had a general knowledge of a later monotheistic supreme being, and this evangelistic strategy will reveal that the religious system was imposed upon the Hawaiians by a foreign entity. A select group of individuals were surveyed using a Likert Scale to determine their understanding of the Great Commission.  Preaching centered on the Great Commission.  Studies focused on living in obedience, the evangelism of Jesus, and on the Great Commission.  The outcome was that many individuals indicated an increased interest in sharing their faith. Yet the majority involved rejected the use of evangelism tools or participation in servant evangelism opportunities.  The best results came from a small group led by the author.  The major conclusion was that one can have a good knowledge of the Great Commission and claim an interest in sharing his/her faith. College students are some of the most mold-able and send-able people and, for this reason, I will focus this thesis on them.  My argument will be to identify the student volunteer movement's methodology and compare it with today's mobilization methodology.  I will then compare the theological paradigms of today to those of the student volunteer movement's era. Using the historical methodology approach, I will compile these findings in an effort to research thoroughly the problem of How to Mobilize Christian Students to be Global Christians.
