It describes authentic church growth and creates a replicable design to achieve such expansion.  The project took the form of a case study over a two-year period.  I present a narrative of an evangelism model that will stimulate church growth.  Various evangelism components with innovative methods and training sessions belonged to the project.  The results of this case study confirmed that churches which participated acquired membership growth. Chapter 5 presents an evaluation of research data, project goals and project process as well as theological reflection, conclusions drawn from the project, personal reflections and implications for further study. The pastor and leaders concentrated on evangelism, and coordinated the focus on evangelism training throughout the programs of the church.  As a result, the attitudes of the people were changed.  They began looking for people outside the church to whom they could minister, and with whom they could share the message of the Gospel of Christ.  Lay leaders began to teach and empower others to reach out. The purpose of this project is to explore the core needs of 'Generation X' and practical ways the Christian Church might address those needs. The research on this project is conducted through interviews with 'Generation X' members of Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, TN, and 'Gen X' individuals who are not members of any particular church. Pastors of churches that are prospering in ministry to 'Generation X' were also interviewed. In this qualitative study of one particular congregation, the vital relationship between the praxis of evangelism and how we understand Christian identity will be examined.  A brief survey in the Gospel narratives will be offered to observe the role of Jesus' identity in his ministry and evangelistic witness.  A theological review of the modern reductionism of the gospel and the praxis of evangelism in North America will lead toward a renewed biblical framework for each, rooted in the reign of God. I surveyed and had focus groups with these churches. I wanted to understand why these churches are successfully reaching unchurched Brazilians, Americans, and Hispanics for Christ. Their evangelistic approach has caused, in my opinion, a reversal in the lack of congregational growth within the American context. The complexity of reaching a group with the gospel of salvation, that up until recently had been neglected, required a new ministry paradigm.  This project was designed to understand that new ministry paradigm.  To accomplish this, Dr. Eldin Villafañe's 'hermeneutical circle paradigm' for social ethics was used.  The systemic interactions of the elements involved could be observed, evaluated and understood by asking three questions.  The first question is clarification: what is the ministry issue?  Or: why is this significant?  The various elements in the system are identified, analyzed, and placed within the greater whole in order to get context and importance of the issue (introduction and chapter one). The second question is conceptualization: how do the Bible, theological thinking, and the social sciences impact and interact with this ministry issue?  Here systemic reflection and other analysis can be brought with Scripture to establish key factors (elements) and principles necessary to support this new ministry paradigm (chapters two through four).  The third question is confrontation: what are the outcomes or implications of the new ministry paradigm?  Is further research needed?  Are there ideas that are transferable?  The results of planting churches among the upper classes flow from systemic elements that have been identified and understood (chapter five).  The idea of reaching people whom Jesus said would be extremely difficult to reach does not excuse the church from reaching them. When mission and church structure themselves theologically and socially exclude or place barriers for them to come to Christ, then the Holy Spirit must find ways to break through in a way that more accurately reflects the Kingdom of God.
