It looks at the history of Christian witness to Muslims and suggests that relational and contextually sensitive approaches be employed in the presentation of biblical truths. An evangelistic Bible study written to reach literate Afghan Muslims, called The Unfolding Story, serves as the core of the project. It employs a whole Bible approach providing lessons from creation to Pentecost. Lessons progress chronologically through salvation themes, in particular sacrifice motifs from the Old Testament, culminating in the substitutionary death of Christ on the Cross. The problem of sin is especially highlighted as are the attempts to overcome sin by one's own efforts. Throughout the study, storytelling and guided discussion in a one-on-one encounter with an Afghan seeker has been employed. This dissertation project was designed to increase the passion for lost souls in the heart of every participant in an Apostolic Leadership Model. The thirteen participants visited two apostolic churches, met in monthly meetings for two years, and read about apostolic churches that reach unchurched thousands. Semi-structured interviews were used to measure the effectiveness of the study on thirteen pastors. Chapter 1 provides the context of ICBC. Chapter 2 gives a biblical and theological rationale for the project, covering the biblical and theological necessity of evangelism and evangelism training. Chapter 3 provides guidance from secular education experts on adult continuing education. Chapter 4 describes the program itself, consisting three parts. First, outreach leaders were chosen and trained. Second, the course Salt \u0026 Light I: Personal Evangelism is outlined. Finally, the course Salt \u0026 Light II: Relational Evangelism is outlined.
