The project consisted of researching assorted beliefs and practices concerning spiritual warfare in a variety of Christian traditions, then writing a text which integrated the practices into a single model. The resulting resource was evaluated by a panel of experts from a broad range of Christian traditions. It questioned: attitudes of administration, faculty and students; practices in training students in theory and application of deliverance; and how better to train students?  The study discussed precedent biblical and historical literature.  A qualitative approach and case study methodology employed interviews, documentary evidence, and observations. Administrators, faculty and all interviewed students supported deliverance ministry training.  How to supply practical training posed problems. Several issues required more systematic research.  The case that seminaries should develop deliverance ministry programs was presented. The methods are as follows: the expert method; the exorcism method; the power method; the resistance method; the psychology method; and the teaching method. The author develops a seventh method which is a combination of the six.  He suggests that each of the methods has strengths and weaknesses which enhance or limit its effectiveness in certain situations. Initially there is a study of four exorcism stories in Mark and an evaluation of data from contemporary philosophical, psychological and theological works.  The research was conducted in visits with three United Presbyterian congregations in Oklahoma.  Groups of church leaders and members were interviewed relative to their experiences of alienation while members of local congregations.  The interviews provide five case studies for demonstrating dehumanizing forces within local churches.  To counter such forces, the author offers a management theory through which members ground their ministry in spiritual disciplines and act on principles of relationships. A rite of exorcism brought closure by enabling individuals to rid themselves of the demons of fear, guilt, and shame. ten years of research affirms that our Christian faith really works if we allow it
