During this 8-week project, students engaged in personal and communal spiritual grwoth activities using various technologies including Samford's learning management system, synchronous videoconferencing, text-based mobile applications, and a Christian video repository.  This project resulted in 50 percent of participants showing evidence toward attaining outcomes, which exceeded the goal of 33 percent. This model involves seven biblical factors that function together in bringing God's people back to him in transformation and restoration. Chapter 1 introduces the thesis in the context of the background study and methodology and lays the foundation for the research dissertation. Chapter 2 exegetes the specific verses in Joel 1 and 2 that provide the model for Spiritual Awakening. Chapter 3 investigates whether the seven factors were present in the Four Great Awakenings in Early America from 1740 to the beginning of the 20th Century. Chapter 4 records the quantitative data from a survey of Texas Baptist Churches in the North Central Texas Council of Governments 16 county region and evaluates the critical interviews with the five members of the Solemn Assembly Team. God commands believers to engage his word, and through obedience to this command, members have the opportunity for spiritual change. Scripture records both reading and/or listening as two mediums for engagement. In this project, the administrator directed members to engage Scripture through an aural medium. Listening and reflection templates along with five assessments provided measurable evaluations.
