The project proposes that study of faith relationships will result in better self-concepts for children and teenagers. Research in leading authors and surveys supports the thesis that Christian religious education does have a positive effect on both faith-maturity and self-esteem.  The project conducted a study with a middle-school Sunday school class designed to help them enhance self-concepts as children of God. By interviewing a sample of 33 Vietnamese Christians, the project discovered that Vietnamese immigrants are often not devoted to their former religions. Crises, conviction that Christ is God, anticipation that God can meet one's felt needs, and parents' approval are important factors influencing conversion. This project presents three children's books. In light of current faith development theory and her own pastoral experience, the author subjects these books to critical analysis and reflection. A qualitative research methodology was used to interview twelve women who have been clients in pastoral counseling.  The findings demonstrate that pastoral counseling does facilitate growth in women's faith lives when the process is sensitive to women's unique experience of themselves, of their relationships, and of their God. The primary purpose of this project was to facilitate spiritual formation for a small group of leaders in the Trinity Heights Baptist Church.  This project provided each participant an opportunity to enlarge his or her faith by taking a look at how his or her faith developed.  In addition, each participant experienced four devotional practices selected to facilitate their spiritual growth. The covenant model was chosen because it most clearly defines several significant aspects of the Christian experience.  A believer's position in Christ, privileges, and responsibilities were all important topics of the course.  Chapter 2 defines covenant theology and expresses how this approach is beneficial to all believers. Chapter 3 reveals the foundational nature of all human development, including faith development.  Stage development theory, simply stated, is that all maturity progresses through a series of stages that are hierarchical in nature; meaning that they build upon one another. Christian maturity also depends upon a strong foundation for successful progress. The research presents insights from the disciplines of sociology, theology and psychology.  These insights outline a paradigm for understanding faith which is applied in the areas of worship, religious education, counseling and mentoring. Faith as understood by the church has always been implicitly developmental but only in recent times have we made it explicit.
