The hypothesis was that through training, education and Christian principles, the members of Corinthian can  develop their families, financial empowerment.  This project consisted of a series of financial seminars.  The research design was pretest and posttest, using ten identical questions on each test. This dissertation seeks to answer questions relevant to how stress affects the lives of students, their spouses, and children. Research utilized a polling instrument and interviews of students at CIU.  The results indicate those who responded handle stress in a generally positive manner.  The major sources of stress were time demands, school work, and finances/debt.  The major symptoms of stress were tiredness, anxiety, and irritability. PTM is a multiracial, nondenominational men's ministry.  Fifteen Patus participated in the project (three groups of five) and two retreats in Portland, Oregon which were held three weeks apart. Activities common to biological families were highlighted and applied to the church family. Deacon of the church were trained to lead the small groups. Surveys went to clergy, and to inter-denominational families assessing the impact of denominational identity, prevalence, acceptance of inter-denominational families, the influence of congregational size, ministerial attitude, and individual family perceptions. Three findings resulted. First, participating inter-denominational families were long-time or life-time members of their faith communities. Second, inter-denominational families are present in most churches regardless of size or denomination, and they garner spiritual enrichment from all church communities in which they participate. Students reported a high level of satisfaction with the project, while revealing difficulty in time management, finances, communication, personal habits, devotional life and child rearing. By practicing this discipline together, would they draw closer to God and to each other?  Focus groups, journals, and surveys showed the couples benefited from their joint spiritual discipline.
