The project director enlisted mentor couples and led them through six hours of mentor training regarding biblical principles of mentoring and marriage, conflict and resolution, stedardship, strengthening relationships, improving communications, and parenting together. The hypothesis was family units who are equipped in and apply apostolic practices will see an increase in their ability to impart those practices to other family units. Apostolic practices were implemented within the context of fourteen families in the Denver Metropolitan area. Data was gathered from pre- and post-testing, a focus group, journal entries facilitated among participants, and a survey conducted among successful apostolic leaders. Interviews were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed in order to understand the intrinsic and relational variables contributing to their service duration. Themes identified were (1) faith and belief as a framework, (2) personal and relational growth, and (3) growth mindset. A conceptual model of mindset appeared that served commitment and intent. This model is discussed, along with integration and other research models. It outlines a model for spiritual formation centered on being conformed to the image of Christ. Theoretical support ties spirituality to marital satisfaction, and subjectification to love for God and others. Measures include the DAS, SWBS, and qualitative questionnaires. The Prepare-Enrich Group Program was implemented over a six week course and effectiveness of the purpose was measured using participant assessments that were administered previous to the program start and after the course was complete. The program clearly impacted the participating couples, primarily in the areas of self-awareness, conflict resolution, and increased satisfaction. The project was intended to effect the spiritual, emotional, mental, and behavioral well-being of its participants as individuals and spouses. The participants assessed the project's impact using a pre-test and post-test questionnaire based on the Likert scale model. Results indicate that participants were impacted relative to each project goal. This study utilized a qualitative research design, the sample selection was non-probabilistic, and used a criterion-based form. The review of the literature and the analysis of the participants in the study revealed that Christ-following leaders grew in EQ and were spiritually transformed through the time of transition. It is theorized, using Bowlby's Theory of Attachment, that one cause of such behavior may be a lack of attachment with a mothering figure during infancy.  When a person exhibiting these characteristics enters marriage, there can be numerous difficulties with the spouse and later with any children. The effects of a women's Type A personality upon the relationships with others in her family are examined through the use of a case study with one family in therapy. The situation is complicated as individuals come to know, through work or school, people who display homosexual behaviors. The struggle comes as the result of two conflicting ideas: the biblical teachings opposing homosexual activity and the relational experiences connecting people together. As a result, severe stress comes when a member of a traditional Christian family announces they are homosexual. This thesis seeks to demonstrate an approach to counseling families in distress that is both biblically sound and psychologically effective. The approach will be integrative, applying a theologically supported, structural relations oriented approach looking at the context of the family. The primary objective was to educate couples on eight dimensions of intimacy and measure the impact on satisfaction and commitment. It was hypothesized that after receiving the education, couples would report increases in intimacy, satisfaction, and commitment. A convenience sample of ten couples participated in a twelve week marital enrichment program. Results indicated that participating in the program increased marital satisfaction and strengthened commitment.
