In order to minister to its people in such family terms the church needs to understand the sociological and psychological nature of the relationships of family, to grapple with the biblical concepts of family and its relationships on both the human and divine planes and to allow the creative spirit of God to breathe upon its ministry. It was based on research gathered from the fields of Christian ethics, gerontology, decision-making, and interviews with those working through these decisions.  Pre- and post-assessments measured participants' cognitive learnings. The five workshops dealt with group decision-making dynamics and alternatives, issues facing the aged, and options for care.  Objectives were to contribute material beneficial to the participants.  Goals were to educate participants on the issues of the aging, care options, and a process of ethical decision-making.
