Drawing upon a biblical perspective, this essay will examine implications for ministry to families experiencing separation and reunion. Hoping and waiting are biblical themes which suggest that separated families experience varying degrees of suffering. A randomly selected list of 200 ministerial families was devised for the mailing of the questionnaire, using the listing in the Yearbook of the Church of God...1979. Forty ministers and forty three ministers' wives completed the survey questionnaire. The musical dramas presented at Zion Lutheran, Litchfield, Illinois, involved families and provided opportunities for their enrichment.  By developing and implementing a plan for musical drama to enrich families at Redeemer Lutheran, Springfield, Missouri, the author sought to strengthen these families, providing opportunities to build positive assets or building blocks into their lives. One of the major needs that must be addressed in the Christian community and in the local church is the mentoring of Christian men in family leadership. Even when men lead at work, in the community and other places, often they do not effectively lead at home.  A partial remedy for this need is to place these men into accountability groups.  One such group will be formed with five men who desire to develop their spiritual leadership skills.  The purpose of the twelve sixty-minute sessions is for the men to grow in their spiritual leadership ability.  A part of the information for each session will be submitted by thirty or more spiritually mature Christian men who will comment on the kind  of spiritual leadership they practice in their families. It is hoped that the principles that are taught to the men will be caught by the spirit of the project leader and the other men involved in the advisory group. To deal with these relationships, four intermarried cases are examined: Korean wife-Thai American husband (husband-wife relationship), Korean wife-Japanese American husband (parent-child relationship); Korean wife-Caucasian American husband (siblings' relationship); and Korean wife-Filipino American husband (in-law relationship).  These intermarried cases show problems and characteristics of the four major relationships in the family. In order to understand the issue posed by these four family relationships, important concepts of the theory and therapy of Murray Brown are explored. These 'remarried' families were found to have many of the same needs as first, or in tact families, but also had unique needs growing out of the circumstances of either death or divorce, and subsequent remarriage. The data was gathered in a parish setting with several remarried families participating in structured interviews. These same families also became a study group using the curriculum that was eventually developed.
