Interventions were made employing educational and formation processes: (1) educating the leadership about the value of actualizing spiritual gifts, (2) awakening persons to the idea and benefit of gifts through sermons, (3) offering a class to help people discover and use their unique gifts, and (4) using gifts discernment in the officer nominating process. One was a six-week interactive course; the other was an intensive one-day workshop.  Though there were some differences, both proved effective.  Seventeen volunteers participated and final assessments indicated increased levels of awareness and understanding.  Leadership ideas are suggested throughout, as well as an easily understood list of spiritual gifts, plus extensive bibliography.
